Actually, none of us except for the people, who are directly related to it. But on a second thought how can we miss on such an important thing that affects our life so much?
This is what this series ‘Unwrapped‘ is doing for us. ‘Unwrapped’ is a documentary that runs on Food Network. The series premiered on June 1, 2001 and is currently running into its eighteenth season. The basic premise of the show is that it tells you how your favorite food is made something which has never been done before, in the history of American Television. The show takes you behind the scenes where it unveils how the favorite foods of America are made and manufactured.

It shows how much hard work is required and what all goes in the making of the food that is easily available in the supermarkets of America. The series covers the makings of everything which includes things from peanut butter and chocolate syrup to French fries and bubblegum. The show generally runs around a theme, according to which they cover the food items that are being covered on the show. So basically all food items come under the premise of the series.
The series is hosted by Marc Summers, who has been the host of the series since season one. In the series he plays himself and takes you around all the famous factories that produce the best selling food in America.
The series revolves around a different concept and probably that is the reason why it is so famous and doing so well on American television.
